China Program
Our next team to China will be sometime in the Spring of 2008. If you are interested in joining us, please let us know soon. There are visas to obtain, tickets to get at a discount price, and many more arrangements to be made than with a team to Guatemala. This will be a team to ascertain more fully the needs of the area, to work together in setting up the clinic at the property we have leased there, and to meet with the nurse who will be running it. We will have a limited number of places available on this team. I would like very much to have a pediatrician, gerontologist, and opthalmologist go with us, as I anticipate those to be great areas of need. We also would like to have a couple of nurses and perhaps an educator with this group. Please do not hesitate to apply for the team because your area has not been listed. These are areas that we would like to have represented, however everyone is welcome.
We will be working with QiLing Ruley, MD of Louisville and Richard Wan, MD. of Morgantown on this project. QiLing and Tom Ruley just returned earlier this year from a trip to China. We will include some of their photos for you to see. Tom is a medical student at the University of Louisville. This trip will also include seeing many of the major sites in China.
As soon as we get a final date, it will be posted. We expect it to be sometime in late April or early May because of the weather in China.
