Today
In 2001, it became clear to Judy that being a humanitarian is not something that you can simply stop doing. It is a part of your nature and life. Families of children that the Schwanks had helped before were calling and continuing to ask for help. The Schwanks decided to form new non-profit corporation, Children's Aid Missions International, Inc. (CAMI) in order to continue with some of their previous projects. Unfortunately, Judy's health became worse and while still making some of her trips to Guatemala, she dealt with multiple spine surgeries and post-surgical problems. |

Today she continues to work with the program and hopes to be involved in as many aspects of our work in Guatemala, Honduras, China and other countries, as possible. In order to help the Schwanks continue their work, many friends and family members have stepped forward to help. Because of this, CAMI is going forward today with all our programs. Children's Aid Missions International (CAMI) is named for the Schwank's granddaughter, Cameron, who was born in 1993 with cleft lip and palate.
