Volunteers
All volunteers with this organization are just that...volunteers. No one receives any type of financial compensation for their work with this group, not even any of the regular staff.
Sometimes, however, the greatest reward you can get is in knowing that you have made a difference in the life of another human being. It may come in the form of a whispered "thank you" from a grateful parent, or in the smiling eyes of a child. Sometimes, you feel it when a family member shows up with a small trinket or gift to express their appreciation. Then you find out that the "trinket" probably cost them several days or weeks wages.
As a volunteer with CAMI, you will have the opportunity to help make a difference in the life of another human being, whether it is on the medical mission field abroad, sorting supplies in the office, hosting a child while they are in the U.S. for medical care, or putting together school supplies for one of our school projects abroad.
We all have some ability to help. With a lot of people giving a little help we make an even greater difference.
